Accommodation options Guest House v/s Hotels

As part of an accommodation facility in East London since 1997 , the conversation often arises in our dining area around the bar on the topic of " Guest House v/s Hotel ?" Obviously many of our patrons at Riversway Our Guest House  choose Guest House for many reasons. The argument often heard is East London Hotels are expensive , impersonal , crowded , noisy , and even a few horror stories relating to cleanliness come out of these discussions. ( probably embellished somewhat to have the desired effect) However there are those that prefer the Hotel experience , and the high occupancy at Hotels clearly proves that.

There is obviously a personal taste issue here as well as a budget consideration when making the decision to stay in a Guest House like Riversway Our Guest House  or in a hotel.

A typical evening at Riversway can be very entertaining , and almost feels like a family environment when regulars meet at dinner for a drink and a great meal prepared by our food lover Dean. I imagine this type of closeness and bonding could be difficult to achieve in a hotel environment , with bigger detached staff , larger groups of patrons and a larger facility with more recreational space options.

For the traveler wanting to eat drink and retire , perhaps a hotel will be a choice. Or often corporate deals dictate the terms of travel and those who do not get to choose have to stay in a hotel.

This discussion often has those for and opposed to their favourite accommodation option , but one thing is clear from our experiences at at Riversway , our guests enjoy their stay. Many have been with us since 1997 and even choose not to visit East London if we cannot accommodate them. So I guess we can thank hotels for marketing to a certain segment of the market and that there are those faithful patrons who will always choose Our Guest House  as their accommodation of choice. East London Springs into life for summer

East London saw Spring in with a few sweltering days and summer is peaking around the corner. At Riversway Guest house the guests social demeanor is showing new signs of mixed feelings , some showing the stress of the year end dash to complete tasks with a dash of excitement in conversation planning year end holidays.

Spring has arrived !! A spring in the step , spring into gear for summer at Riversway and come and share the celebration of another summer with us. Our 14th summer we share with you since opening in 1997 , and each one a special one to share with our valued guests.

For this summer we want to promote the nature surrounding Nahoon and our fantastic East London coastal region with a special to all existing and new guests.

Plan a 5 day stay at Riversway and we will include a free guided day to Nahoon Nature reserve and or East Coast resorts , to fish , surf or just enjoy our gem beaches for a morning ( weather reliant and limited to a max of 4 persons or with own vehicle) We will provide free soft drinks and snacks for 4 persons during this excursion and show you the joys of fishing / surfing or just enjoying some time at our fantastic beaches. ( does not include equipment )

Another fantastic option during September school holidays is for families with smaller children to plan a few days stay at Riversway with their children , and for a day or 2 let us drop and collect your children at Jonginenge enviro beach adventures , where Dean and his team will provide a day of great beach environmental learning and fun while you plan a day of leisure around our pool , lunch or a day of leisure to enjoy the East London coast.
